Maison G de Navarre Young Scientist Prize

The IFSCC is pleased to announce the opening of the competition for the Maison G de Navarre Young Scientist Prize. This prize is granted each year to enable a young cosmetic scientist to attend either a Congress or Conference of the IFSCC.

The 2005 winner will be invited to attend the IFSCC Conference to be held in Florence, Italy in September 2005 with the cost of travel, accommodation and registration fees up to, but not exceeding, 5000 Swiss Francs, being paid by the IFSCC. The Maison G. de Navarre Young Scientist Prize will be awarded to a young cosmetic scientist under 35 years of age for his or her first or second published paper in the previous year. The topic of this paper should relate to Cosmetic Science and the applicant should be the first author. Any Class A member of a member society of the IFSCC, normally under thirty five years of age at the time of publication of the paper, and with less than five year's experience in the Cosmetic Industry or related Academia is eligible.

The applicant enters the competition by sending electronically a copy of the original publication to the IFSCC Secretariat - ifscc.scs@btconnect.com - with the information requested on the entry form, (copies of which are available from the local Societies) by 1 June 2005. For the paper, any language is possible but in case the paper is not written in English, a translation into English needs to be provided.

The papers must be accompanied by the details requested on the official Application form,. They should be sent to the Office of the IFSCC Secretariat at G.T. House, 24/26 Rothesay Road, Luton, Beds LU1 1QX, UK, BY NO LATER THAN 1 JUNE 2005. A copy of the paper must also be sent to the office of the member society.

Applicants must be members of good standing in their Society, which in turn must be current in its Federation subscription. Applicants must submit proof that they are actively employed in a technical capacity in the Cosmetic Industry or related Academia and that they meet the requirements for age and experience.
