Dr. Lockhead at OVSCC

The Ohio Valley chapter of the Society of Cosmetic Chemists (OVSCC) is hosting one of the most popular and well-respected scientists and teachers in the personal care industry today, Dr. Robert Lochhead from the University of Southern Mississippi.  He has recently established the Institute for Formulation Science and is currently the head of the School of Polymers & High Performance Materials as well as the Vice President of the SCC National organization.  He will be visiting the Cincinnati area April 13th through the 15th and has offered the members of the OVSCC some incredible opportunities.

Dr. Lochhead has agreed to teach one of his Continuing Education courses at an incredibly deep discount to what you would have to pay to take the same course elsewhere.  He will be covering “The Use of Waterborne Polymers in Personal Care Formulations” from 8:30 to 4:30 pm at Dave & Buster’s near the Tri-County Mall on Wednesday April 15th.  The course description is attached with this note.

Dr. Lochhead will also be the featured speaker at the OVSCC chapter meeting, which takes place at Dave & Buster’s starting at 5:15 pm the same night (Wednesday April 15th).  He will be discussing the latest “Trends in Polymers for Cosmetics”, the description of which is also attached.  His talk will begin at 6:00 pm with dinner to follow at the conclusion of his presentation and you can select from beef, fish or vegetarian options.  SCC members only pay $35 with non-members paying just $10 more.
