You will be responsible for developing sales of our proprietary specialty ingredients i.e. emulsifiers, texturizers and active ingredients to the Midwest-based Personal Care manufacturers, visiting R&D chemists, product developers and formulators. The position could be based out of the Midwest or New Jersey. Self-motivated and committed individuals only.

- Manage and grow the existing customer base.
- Phone and internet prospecting for new sales opportunities.
- Respond to customer and prospect inquiries.
- Territory growth to meet company objectives.
- Develop strong knowledge of product line.

This position coordinates liquid product development by assisting in formula approvals, product testing and fragrance development via communication with subcontractors and fragrance suppliers to ensure company standards and deadlines are met in a timely manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate product tests via sending test start requests and sample delivery coordination
• Coordinate stability test samples and report traffic, review samples and update stability log
• Maintain stability reports, list of ingredients, vendor project logs on the drive
• Record and update product development status in project management spreadsheets.
• Maintain formula library and review formula sheets for accuracy
• Create ingredient declarations for new formulas approved for production
• Organize development/test samples and final products by brand/season/vendor
• Develop new products and contribute creative ideas
• Solicit new products from vendors for future program development
• Stay current with industry trends and vendors (on-line & shopping research)
• Other tasks may be assigned

The Product Program Manager will have direct ownership for the successful development of all new & re-launched products. This position would oversee and manage the development and delivery into the marketplace. In addition to successfully meeting criteria on timing, volume, cost & quality, the Manager is responsible for determining & implementing systemic processes, standard timelines and reporting mechanisms to facilitate an ongoing capability to launch multiple products/year. The Manager is responsible for insuring communication and execution of these processes both internally and externally in our supply base.

Responsibilities:

• Develop & manage a process to provide 100% availability on required dates at target cost
• Coordinate both internal and external work teams to insure all launch criteria are met by:
o Maintaining and managing timelines or required activities from the end of the Research phase through Development/Execution for each product
o Maintain routine communications with internal and external resources to insure that all work is proceeding as planned and that potential issues are discussed and resolved in a timely fashion
• Insure that all legal, regulatory and marketing criteria for each product are met
• Develop, implement, refine and document appropriate standard timelines, processes, and metrics to insure that new products are developed in a robust and timely way (e.g. pricing timing & methodology)
• Work closely with cross functional teams within the organization - including Marketing, Creative, and manufacturing - to drive product requirements through design, testing, and launch. Validate that the product going to market is meeting the requirements and is expected to achieve the anticipated impact
• Develop & maintain strong working relationships with all internal and external work groups
